Shock in Jajarkot in Karnali province about 300 miles west of Kathmandu caused at least 22 deaths and destroyed houses
At least 22 people were killed and dozens injured after a magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck western Nepal on Friday, with witnesses saying houses in the area collapsed and buildings were shaking hundreds of miles away.
At least 20 people were taken to hospital with injuries, Suresh Sunar, a district official from the epicentre in Jajarkot, told Reuters by phone.
